shareGood lord yes she was. I loved the first Jack Reacher but this was a far cry from that. I don't know how much the book devoted to her character but I bet she wasn't as annoying and stupid.
shareHas anyone read the book? Is she as big a part in it? I agree that she was annoying. She is what made this film just so-so. The first one I really liked. Disappointed they went with the emo, wayward teen trope - gets very old, very quickly.

And her hair kept changing with almost every scene take.
shareKept on saying she was 15 but she looked 18-20 and was played by an 18yo...
shareReacher works better when he doesn't have all the female accompaniment, which at one point he even states in this film.
The teenage girl in this flick might as well have been billed as "A moody teen" a la Deadpool because man that character was like someone straight out of a 90s action flick. The rebellious daughter that gets involved in the action, like Bruce Willis's daughter in The Last Boy Scout or Arnold's daughter in True Lies. This girl even had a flannel shirt on, so apparently no one told her this isn't 1993.
Worst part of the movie. Smart aleck, know it all teen-ager, what a cliche. Movie stopped dead in it's tracks every time she came on. The character was an unnecessary weight that slowed the pace. The frame up of Cobie Smulders major and the murdered soldiers should've been drama enough to propel the plot without the weight of a potential offspring at risk.
The first film seemed better because it was as much a puzzle as anything, like the Lincoln Lawyer. This one was an entertaining enough thriller/action, but it didn't keep you guessing like Jack Reacher did.
And OMG her acting was terrible!!!
share99% of children are annoying.
