watch a mini documentary by vice about the real Aokigahara Forest

i never heard of this place before the movie so was naturally intrigued to look it up after i saw it. i found a mini doc by vice about this place and got to say this is way more haunting than the movie was. in fact, it's almost like the producers of the forest saw this, didn't absorb anything meaningful from the doc, and copied it. not that i'm actually offended but it changed my opinion on the film being "respectful" to the territory / subject matter. i dont want to spoiler the ending but it really took a direction that cheapened the whole thing overall IMO. it left a bad taste in my mouth.

anyway this doc is pretty morbid in subject matter but if you watch the whole thing, i think the "nature guard" dude who is on patrol has a positive message to send out. take some time to watch this if the film piqued your curiousity... (i wouldn't go as far as tagging it NSFW but it's heavy stuff) without further ado, click this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FDSdg09df8

PS i did search all 4 pages of this board for the word "vice" but didn't scan every headline individually, sorry if this a repost, but i'd still like to discuss it.
