4.8 rating? It must seriously suck
I was hoping it would be good.
Did anyone see The Witch? Is it worth renting?

"It must seriously suck"- sorry I'm a spelling Nazi. I'm not so much a grammar Nazi since my grammar isn't very good.
Anyway, yeah, this movie straight up sucks. The first 20 minutes or so are interesting because it's very stylistic with its flashbacks and Tokyo looks amazing. The Tokyo shots were very reminiscent of "Lost in Translation" (well, Tokyo looks like Tokyo anywhere but the way they were filmed just seemed similar). The story even sounds interesting. There's two twin sisters, one goes missing, and this forest is supposed to be soo terrible.
When the characters actually arrive in the forest, it's honestly boring. You see a bunch of CGI ghosts (which the trailer happily shows you) and a lot of "Help me! Help me! I'm stuck in the forest and seeing some crazy sh-t". Not to mention the male lead is obnoxious.
To answer your second question, yes I have seen "The Witch". Upon first viewing I really liked but I did not LOVE it because the ending is very weird. However, after giving it much thought, I LOVED "The Witch". It's not a movie where you will jump out of your seat a lot but it definitely gets under your skin. It honestly felt satanic in some parts, which I feel most movies don't do. The most interesting aspect of the movie is the family fighting. It was just displayed so well and I feel like all families can relate to that accusing and pointing fingers. So yes, it is DEFINITELY worth renting.
Thank you for all the info on the films, and the spelling correction, which was pretty funny after I read it.
I will rent The Witch.

This was far more interesting than The "Vvitch". There wasn't even a plot to that drivel.
The only downfall of this movie was the last 10 seconds, including the cheesy metal soundtrack.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gwe1ClamlJU This just about sums up every scary scene in the movie.
shareThey both sucked.
