Nitpicks
When Stan and Ollie are shown travelling from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Glasgow, they are shown on a train with yellow and brown painted carriages. This would not have happened in 1953 as by then all trains were painted in dark green after nationalisation in 1948. Even pre-1948 it would not be yellow and brown because that was the livery of the Great Western line which went nowhere near the north of England.
Also, I'm pretty sure it wasn't possible to make a transatlantic telephone call from a street telephone box in 1953, as Stan is shown doing. Unless his wife had perhaps already arrived in England and he was phoning her hotel.
