My Review (Personal Opinion) No Spoilers

I finally got to see it and so here are my thoughts.

Right off the bat you can tell from the trailers that it will be more jumpscare sided then tension. That is a given no matter what horror movie you watch in 2014+ (with only a few who don't rely on them). I did feel tension in some scenes for people wondering if there is any. Only a few really good scenes I felt built it well for the time it lasted, that DIDNT end in a jumpscare, so credit to the scenes.

The writing wasn't as great as you would hope and I felt like some of the actors could have done a better job because I HAVE seen them to a better job.

Despite what I keep seeing in posts the premise is NOT the same as the movie Unfriended. Sure the people in the movie try to "Unfriend" someone multiple times in the movie, but there is more to it than the trailer lead on. The movie was setting on the shelf longer than Unfriended so you can't say it copied it.

I see the potental this movie could have had, and it did have original ideas, and if they weren't original it was done in a way that felt original to me.

Most common thing people worry about is the ending. Every horror movie as to have an ending. The ending I WAS expecting didn't happen, in fact it was a complete surprise, and I like movies who pull this type of ending because it DOES show you the potental this movie had to be better.

Overall despite those negatives I will still able to enjoy the movie for what it was doing. It kept me interested in it.

I would give it a 6/10. Seems fair to me.

I'd give it a 5 or 6 myself. Definitely not great, but I've seen a lot worse. This movie reminded me of a weaker version of The Ring made for today's young audience.
