Jump scares are tedious at best, but this time I found myself cringing at the truly gory imagery when they happened. And I thought this movie would be a tame Internet tale of horror/mystery.
Well, it was.
Except the jump scares.
Agreed. The imagery was horrifying. And really some of the jump scares were spot on and made me jump. Cool using a new type of historical occult or 'old witchcraft' premise. Gave it a fresh take since they seem to use the same type of stuff over and over through the years.
