Been shelved for 2 years
Just read up that this finished filming in march 2014. Wow, talk about distribution problems. No wonder Alycia hasn't mentioned this film at all.

shareIf you're a fan of good horror (or just decent movies) this movie is not for you. It's very dull... Got to an hour in and felt I couldn't wait for it to end. Extremely predictable and full of jump scares without building any tension.
shareMeant to post this in another thread! Sorry.
sharePeople like you are why we keep getting crap horror movies and remakes instead of new ones like this. *beep* off with your stupid opinions. This is more original than I've seen in years. It wasn't THE MOST SCARY THING ever but it was better than crap like "Unfriended" which I'm sure you gave a glowing review to since you seem to like crap movies.
shareI agree totally with you. It became dull toward the middle I wanted to fast forward. Two parts made me jump at the beginning but as you said a loud sound and something going bump is hardly new horror or that effective when it has no suspense.
Just because it incorporates modern themes doesn't mean it's new horror does it...
If it's been shelved for two years, I would imagine it would be to avoid confusion with 'Unfriended' which has a very similar premise and was released in 2014. ;)
shareThis movie was out in the UK in the summer while I was there and seemed to be doing ok.
shareThe Facebook profiles didn't look like a 2014 profile it looked like 2015/2016 profiles so I figure they made the movie during that time. Unless they added the Facebook scenes after.
