As much as I like Costas Mandylor, I don't want Hoffman escaping the bathroom unless they can find interesting places to go with his story. However if they cannot, then he should just be dead. I don't want the sequel with Hoffman trying to kill Dr. Gordon. There has to be more to it. It would be so dull and we already got Hoffman trying to kill Jill in Saw 7.

shareI guarantee you that Hoffman made it out of that bathroom. When it came down to intelligence....John Kramer was in a league of his own when it came down to playing the long game. However....whatever intelligence that Hoffman lacked....he made up for it with resourcefulness. So it's not a question of if he made it out....but rather how fast.

Exactly. Also Strahm's trap was basically down the hall from the bathroom so Hoffman knew where it was and could have easily left things in there "just incase". It'd be a stretch in real life, but not for the Saw films where the whole premise is about thinking of every outcome and planning for it.
