So, no Dr. Gordon?

reply

Nope

how do you know?

reply

If you follow Elwes on social media, he's checked in to multiple places outside of Toronto over the course of the filming schedule. If he's in it, he's in there for a very short amount of time, and is likely only there to die. I've also been told by someone I trust and who would know that none of the original jigsaw disciples are coming back. Tobin Bell is definitely, 100% in it though. And in a lot of it.

reply

that's great to hear. I wanna see a continuation, but not a rehash of all the old characters
it's safe to say im pretty damn excited and October could not come any sooner.

reply

That's a little disappointing. There were quite a few loose ends and plotholes involving Gordon's character.

reply

Well, If these films are going to continue, at least he, as a character should have some closure. A mention or a cameo death as previously mentioned. Saw 3D ending was vague in telling if he's the only actual successor or just a part-time accomplice.

reply

I don't think they should care at all about the previous films. It became a tangled mess.

It's gonna be a soft reboot, so while it happens in the same universe where the previous movies did happen, I don't think we should expect much reference to that stuff beyond easter eggs.

reply

That's a letdown. It looks like they're going with Brad and Ryan as the new apprentices. I was hoping for something more substantial than that.

reply

Brad and Ryan were two of the worst actors in the series. Horrible dialogue!

reply

The girl who played Dina made them look a bit competent, tho.

reply

All three of them made me cringe. That trap had potential too. Dare I say a public trap could be the centerpiece of an entire Saw film?

reply

The public trap was the worst trap in the series by far. It had nothing to do with rest of the movie, and the cheap/fake gore effects didn't help either. It was like it was thrown in for *beep* n giggles.

reply

I'm going to be thoroughly disappointed if Brad and Ryan are the new guys taking on Jigsaw's reign. Not only are they two characters who I have no interest in, but I think Legacy should try and stay away from any characters that were introduced in Saw 3D with the exception of maybe a mention or a small scene of Bobby Dagen (what happened to him), and obviously Dr. Gordon. As much as I don't like it, I'm willing to accept that Hoffman has died in the bathroom and we will never see him again, however I think it is mandatory that we get closure to Dr. Gordon's story. Since the beginning we have all wondered what happened to him and to be honest, we still haven't even really gotten an answer. I mean yeah he was taken under John's wing but that raises more questions than it answers. So what would I like to see? Answers to Gordon, John flashbacks, and the beginning of a strong new story that can be developed more in future films.

reply

Where did this rumor that Jon cor is in it? If it's just because there is a character named ryan in it that is a stretch

reply

QUITE the stretch. I don't think he's in it at all. There's definitely a Ryan who Jigsaw talks to in the movie though.

reply

I like someone else's idea that a new Jigsaw should be someone from the sidelines who likes John's ideas and "is their own nutcase" -- I mean, the amount of apprentices is getting ridiculous. Amanda, Hoffman, Gordon, and then Brad and Ryan being apprentices of one of the apprentices. It doesn't fit the original character of Jigsaw to be telling as many people who he is as possible.

reply

He will be back in Saw XIII: Game Over for a couple of scenes.

reply

LOL
