It's not releasing for 4 days. It's released in America on October 27th, 4 days before Halloween. It has a full domestic release. But it's international release is in 2018.
Thank god, was worried when I see the post. Been a big saw fan for years even tho they've gone down hill. Don't want to see the franchise reverted to limited runs and DVD only releases

Is this 100% confirmed? If so, it sucks. I'm in the UK, have a lot of "SAW-fan" friends in the US - no way I'll be able to dodge spoilers for 3 months plus.
:(
Way to go, LionsGate, after 7 years' wait - might as well just wait for a torrent leak or something at this point.

I wouldn't take that as final confirmation that the movie will ONLY release in the US initially. It may just be the same plan they've always had. I believe the previous movies came out later in places like France as well.
If it truly is a domestic US release ONLY at first, I think it indicates that Lionsgate thinks the movie is a mess (which it seemingly is, from what I found) and that they don't want to invest in its distribution too much.
More realistically though, I believe this film will be treated just like the other Saw sequels and will get a similar release strategy both in terms of distribution and marketing. I don't know how Lionsgate's deal with Twisted Pictures works, but I don't think Lionsgate would have full control over it either. I'm sure a lot of details are set in stone, as they're not producing the movie in-house.
I am beginning to think that it might be a Turkey as there is zero news about the movie, no plot and a slow drip of cast list, if it gets a press embargo then we know
The movie finished filming in November and won't be released until OCTOBER- it is just now January. Why on Earth would you expect major promotion 8 months out? This isn't Star Wars. As of now a slow drip of casting news is NORMAL.
Start to worry if we still have a lack of news come July or August.
I've seen that its somewhat on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of quality for the franchise. It's only someone's opinion, but it's one I certainly tend to align with historically.
The movie is not a mess. There will be a big marketing push when they are ready..I don't know who this person is you have been talking to but from what i have seen it looks to be one of the highest quality in the franchise if you ask me..
I have high hopes, but if the speculation about a trap involving a motorcycle and road spikes is true, I hope it is done well. I don't want big huge epic scenes, I want dark, claustrophobic scenes. It would be great if we could get the emotion such as the emotion depicted in Saw III again too
Do you not know how NDA work's? No sorry i definitely can't tell you that.. All i can say is it looks great and everybody worked their asses off. It was not something to cash a cheque.. Weather it does well is up to the audience..
Hello liquidsilver77...or as others might know you "Ray". Do you want to play a game?
Recently you've taken to trolling the Saw IMDB bards pretending to be involved with the film, but I know better.
In 24 hours I will post screencaps of your face to the IMDB boards and reveal your true identity along with proof that it is you. That is unless you have what it takes to survive. Infront of you is a keyboard. I want you to write out a short apology for taking credit for other people's work and pretending to be somebody you're not.
You are obviously mistaken. I could prove it but i have no need to.. Don't know who you are but i find this post quite funny.. What does it matter what my name is or what i look like and how does that prove i wasn't on the movie? hm?? I have proved it to many people on these boards. Anyway, thanks for the laugh..
