Interesting story but movie doesn't do it justice

I do not know the full details of the real life story but I was definitely interested in the movie because of the story.

That being said, acting and screenplay kinda spoilt the movie for me. Will Smith's accent was kinda off-putting. Do Nigerians sound like this? I doubt it.

Screenplay was awful. "Tell the truth.. tell the truth" and then the NFL doctor guy is suddenly convinced and goes "You sure you want to do this?" The ending speech "Forgive them. Forgive yourselves. Be at peace" - *eye rolls*

No chemistry between the doctor and the wife. Actually the wife seemed so unlikeable. A guest in the house turning on the tv when he wants to work. Ugh.. And then she demands that they move just because she got paranoid about someone following her. I dunno if this is what his wife is like in real life..

I don't think this movie deserves an awards recognition. Didn't deserve any Oscar noms. So if Will and Jada are boycotting the Oscars because of non-recognition of this movie, well it's not justified. This movie wasn't good enough.
