Good but predictable

I'm not an american. I've never watched a game of american football.
I saw this movie without any prior knowledge.

It's good. There are no obvious flaws. Will smith is a good actor, not a great actor, but good. Everyone else in the movie pulls of a good performance as well. Music was nice, camera looked good.
This movie is like popcorn. Nobody hates popcorn, nobody loves it.

In the end it falls flat because it's so damn predictable.

I was very disappointed. I like the cast and follow football a fair bit, especially my favorite team (the New England Patriots.) With that said, this was not a very good movie. Will Smith and Alec Baldwin did give very strong performances, but everything else was a mess. Can't say I regret skipping it in theaters.
