So where's Frank?

If there's going to be a Punisher season two, they'd best explain why Frank's MIA in this series

They made a big deal about Karen being the one person Frank Castle trusts and cares about, with Micro & his family a distant second

Fisk should've been signing his own death warrant by putting out a hit on Karen

And pride only goes so far - once Matt started involving Foggy and Karen, why not call the bulletproof strongman, the surly super strength PI and the billionaire for help? I'd assume Rand could buy out Fisk's holdings several times over. And Fisk's attempts to intimidate Jessica would be a riot (either he doesn't scare her, and she wise-cracks at him, or he does scare her, and winds up in a wheelchair).

Reminds me of the post-Avengers flicks, when people legitimately wondered why Stark wouldn't call for help in Iron Man 3. Hubris only explains so much before it becomes non-credible.

Frank is retired and has no gear at this point. The hit on Karen was likely not made known to him until it was over. Luke is in charge of Harlem's Paradise and he's more or less a crime boss now. Rand is in Asia. Matt barely even knows Colleen and would likely be unable to reach out to her. And Jessica Jones is Jessica Jones. On top of all this, Matt was kinda unhinged during much of this season to the point of being suicidal and he didn't even contact Foggy until he needed to steal his wallet. His mom made a brief reference to calling "other people" and it was in Matt's character to refuse the offer.

Then I guess it'd also be in Matt's character, Karen's too, to purposely keep Frank out of it.

Neither wants to be a murderer, no matter how close Matt thought he was to that line. Involving Frank would be tantamount to murder, since they all know it's Frank's only solution to every criminal problem.

Yeah. I think Karen appreciates Frank on some level but I think she's happy that he's not out there killing criminals at the moment.
