Anyone else think the actor that plays Ray Nadeem looks a bit strange? Like a caricature or a South Park character? It looks like his face is made of plasticine. Is this just a weird effect of makeup or something? He looks normal in promo pics outside of DD. It just looks a bit peculiar to me. Just to clarify, I don't mean this as a personal attack as he looks normal outside of DD.

I'd never seen him before in anything else, so during the first 3 episodes of course the first thing I noticed was how Odd his face was, It looked like and I just assumed he was wearing plastic facial pieces, I figured there would be a back story revealed later in the show explaining his character and what happened to his face.....
but the more I watched I started getting an almost "Mind Blowing" feeling that "OMG I think thats his real face"....I then looked him up, and found out it was in fact just his face....
I swear to god, I almost cant watch any scene he's in, Its the most distracting thing ever, Whomever cast him in this series and role should be fired...
His literally looks like he's wearing Plastic facial pieces...It doesnt look real, In fact its kinda scary, But regardless, It was a horrible casting decision, like you I'm not here to personal attack him, But for the series, I'm sorry his face is just too distracting, He has an important role, you need to be invested in his character and pay attention to whats going on, but Instead, Your completely distracted by his extremely ODD face....
I'm not kidding This is one of the oddest things I've ever seen in a movie....I truly never even considered for a moment that was his real face until Episode 3....the second I saw him, I just assumed those Huge Lines on each side of his cheeks were were Plastic and were put there for his characters backstory....I Literally felt an almost disbelief when I finally realized that was his actual face....

I, too, felt that something was odd about his face in a sorta wax polished kinda way. In the end decided to put it on my mind ignore. It's like his face wasn't even real or something. Make-up department really outdone themselves on this guy. Ahahahah.

shareYep, it's the makeup artist. Way too much makeup. The artist obviously is more accustomed to working on White people, because all of them looked great.
Brett Mahoney even looked worse, like a wax sculpture in many scenes, arghhh! Darker skin on camera reflects light easier, they don't account for that.
