In the last episode of S2 after Stick kills Nobu, he is wearing a coat and hides his katana in a similar manner that Christopher Lambert does in the Highlander films. Coincidence or a homage?

The sword Stick used even looks like a Highlander prop sword.

While that scene played out, I was thinking to myself "There can be only one!"
