Karen's research into Reyes

I love the scene where Karen confronts Blake Tower with evidence of Reyes being a chronic backstabber. But I keep thinking that she could have taken what she'd found out about Reyes to the Bulletin. In "Kinbaku," Karen had gone to the Bulletin to try and research Frank Castle's family and his military service, and Ellison backed her and provided her with assistance, even promising her that the Bulletin would get the exclusive on anything she dug up. We know that Ellison's mentoring Karen is partially out of guilt for not having backed Ben Urich's investigate pursuit of Wilson Fisk, so I think he would have been as equally interested in getting the scoop on a backstabbing district attorney, as he would Frank Castle's background. Besides, doesn't a corrupt politician sell papers? (maybe not Pulitzer-worthy, but still)
