wonder if Karen felt guilty about those 2 cops.....

That she was directly responsible for getting killed in the S2 finale?

building full of ninjas...... how many cops did they think would be sent to round up 1 a guy on simple home detention violation???

reply

How about you blame the snipers who shot the cops? All Karen did was activate Turk's tracking bracelet and that notified the police. The police had no idea when responding that the Hand had snipers on the roof who were watching for them.

reply

yeah but she did. what did she expect? an armoured SWAT team to show up?

reply

All she was expecting was the police to show up. Whoever showed up would be whoever got sent by the dispatcher, whether that be a beat cop or an ESU squad.

reply

Better two cops than 20 civilians.

I'm sure she's mad/sad that the cops were killed but it's their job to fight crime. Yes, The Hand is beyond their pay grade and I'm not suggesting for a minute that it's no big deal they died. But was she just supposed to let 20 civilians die?

Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)

What you're trying to do is reason with people who are just trying to find some reason to justify their dislike of Karen. They're like the same people who try to blame her for Farnum or Mrs. Cardenas' deaths in season 1. (Honestly, if I see a thread in which someone provides a pretty weak explanation for why they dislike Karen, I learn to read their text as "I don't know why, but I just don't like her". Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of moments where I could legitimately criticize Karen's behavior, such as using false pretenses to trick Ben Urich into interviewing Fisk's mother, but those moments are far and few between).

Or to a lesser extent, the two she probably ruined the careers (demoted to Yonkers crossing guards) of in order to escape with Frank.

reply

We could just say that Karen's a bit reckless and impulsive. Not to Matt Murdock levels, but still...

reply

Probably not as bad as she should feel for it being 100% her fault for getting Ben killed in season 1.
