were we ripped off?

we did a short over a year ago titled "The Nightmare" about the exact same topic...ripoff or coincidence? eh, pretty sure its a coincidence. Anyways, here it is

may not be the best short film out there but we trying!

reply

No.

This might come as a shock, but sleep paralysis is pretty popular subject matter and the title "Nightmare" is incredibly uncreative.

reply

This might come as a shock, but "condescending d-bag" is a pretty popular thing to be and you are an incredibly uncreative one.

The guy said it's a coincidence. No need to be a penis.

reply

Right, but him saying it's a coincidence after pointing the plagiarism finger is like saying "no offense" and then completely laying into somebody.

reply

The description has nothing in common with this documentary. However I haven't seen either one.

You made a fictional short. The board you're on refers to a documentary.
Also, the plot is vastly different, and poorly-written:

While on a hike, Steven makes discovers a relic from another time. Intrigued by its mysterious nature, he takes it with him unknowingly unleashing the evil forces trapped within. With every passing night, the dead makes its way to Steven paralyzing him...consuming him.

We've met before, haven't we?

reply

LOL. I try not to shame other peoples' work, but that description borders on illiterate.

reply

Well at least ITS was used correctly this time, instead of it's. I see this too often nowadays, even on "professional" news sites.
