A short scene...


...that saddened me was her husband, son (I think it was her son) discussing her at the table as she sat on the sofa across the other side of the room. There was a cold and conspiratorial feel to it as the daughter glanced over. This and the fact her husband wouldn't take the sabbatical indicated that they had psychologically let her go, even though I think the stuck up daughter had done this when she discovered she had inherited the gene.

Yes...remember the younger daughter, Lydia, the actor, had a completely opposite view of what her mom needed. She let her do the things she needed to do, mark calendar etc, muck like you do raising your child. Yet, Lydia's older sister was obvious to her needs. That was striking to me knowing she was going to be a mother....of twins.
