Wtf, no way. This was an excellent film. Really creepy and atmospheric

yeah 5-6 seems right. It was okay but not that good. Pretty sure it will lower with time.

I've seen the film twice now twice now and have bumped my rating from a 9 to 10. I really feel this film did just about everything right in modern horror. Great, likeable lead characters, a creepy setting, an engrossing mystery, unsettling visuals and sounds, wonderfully ominous atmosphere, an eerie musical score, and a genuinely frightening "villain" in Jane Doe. This was the best horror film I've seen in years.

As far as the 7.0 rating, I'm satisfied with it when seen in comparison to the ratings of other modern horror films. It is very difficult for even the most acclaimed modern horror films to get a 7.0, when you consider that films like It Follows, The Babadook, and The Witch are all in the 6's.
