The beginning is really good...

Overall, I thought it was decent and certainly one of the better direct to VOD horror films in a while but yeah, the first half is far better than the second.

My thoughts exactly. The beginning was very enjoyable and by the tone I was expecting a realistic gritty thriller like Seven or something.
But when the cheap jump scares start and the cat thing happens, these rational people (two high class actors) start acting like stupid teenagers and the supernatural just takes the film to a totally different direction.
A shame really as it had very good potential.

Yeah the first half was great. Honestly the whole thing goes down hill as soon as the supernatural stuff starts though. It really have been a clever murder mystery with no witches. although it's obvious early on that the twist is that she can feel everything - i just wasn't sure how they were gonna get there, but once it gets to the last act it becomes pretty well worn territory and lost my interest.

I completely agree. The first half was good but i was battling to stay awake in the second half. It's too far fetched to be believable. I gave it a 3 out of 10.

Yeah, same here. great first half then falls into the tired old tropes.

I'd say the film starts to slide in the first quarter. Great atmospheric build-up, then once the plot is revealed the characters inexplicably buy into the nonsensical absurdity way too easily and we're stuck with a conventional horror movie that makes zero sense.

Totally agreed. Specially when they start the autopsy and some shocking facts were revealed. It would be best if it was all about those autopsy things and no ghost stories or anything. But nevertheless I think it's still better than most of the horror movies
