poor job by Stewart and Hoult.
Let me explain. Stewart and Hoult mumbled so much of their dialog that we had to turn on the subtitles for most of the movie to understand them. It is a stark contrast to the characters played by the more experienced (older) actors who always enunciated well and we could understand everything they said. The performances of the two leads, because of their failure to enunciate, made it all seem like amateur acting.
Other than that glaring fault I rather enjoyed the movie although it will never get on the list as one I want to re-watch occasionally. Near the end my wife commented "Romeo and Juliet."
I wanted to reach in and slap Silas. Typical youngster who can't follow instructions. If he had stayed at his residence as he was instructed the whole thing would have turned out differently.
