Nobody would feel the need to help other people or treat them fairly.

They don't have emotions but they are civilized and polite, they help other people because it is the right thing to do, not because they feel bad for them or because it would make them feel better about themselves.

You recognize why you'd be better off from these morals. Not because of biased feelings that will be tainted or biased by a million other things.
Don't think too hard on it. It's just another retarded dystopian premise used to serve as a plot device. Just put it with all the rest of other unintelligent crap out there, such as Divergent, The Giver, The Purge, etc... then turn off your brain and try to enjoy it.

Crime comes from emotion generally.
They don't care about eachother tho- they don't care if someone commits suicide.
They don't care if someone is isolated and sitting in their own.
They have no emotion so can just concentrate on the scientific tasks at hand.
