Why does Jennifer Tilly have to come back again!?!

She's so fu*king annoying with all those stupid "my mother use to say" quotes. She didn't need to make a self parody, especially with Tiffany wanting to transfer her soul into the woman who voices her. "I know she sounds just like an angel." Fu*k that was Jennifer's own voice, I felt like I was about to choke. All her screaming, and mouth running. I know she was great in Bride....but after Seed, I just feel like I couldn't give her a second chance. However I'm going to give this movie a chance cause Chucky's one of my favorite killers. And I still hope to see more of his non stitched face again even if it's just make up like in Curse.

reply

Sorry but I liked her in the films. Sure, she kinda wore her welcome out in Seed but her cameo in Curse was one of the best parts, along with the return of Andy!

reply

It was a dream come true to see Andy again. Although more sequels are coming, I hope they all take place in that six month gap everyone is presuming.

The whole Tiffany/bridal storyline sucks, its corny, I hate it.

Chucky should go back to the original slasher direction where he's a killer doll on his own, not partnering with that psycho btch Tiffany.

reply

it has nothing to do with what you prefer style wise bride of chucky is by far a better film as a whole then 2 or 3 i prefer scary chucky but bride as a film is easily the best sequel 2 an 3 are just repeats of the first they arent creative enough 2 is good but its the great ending that saves that film 3 is passable but both are standered sequels with not alot of creativity except the ending of 2 bride saved this franchise but you are correct tiffanys character arc was complete in bride there was no reason for her to return in seed she came back simply because they knew she helped make bride a big hit so they were afraid to do another one without the character who made the franchise a hit again but story wise she never should have returned after bride

reply

Apiloish ? Bride of Chucky was better than Child's play 2? And CP2 is "NOT CREATIVE enough" Really?
Child's play two was brilliant because Chucky moved so good and impressively looks like he is a demonically possessed doll, the photography and directing is amazing with incredible special effects which still fresh to look at in the 21st century. Beth Grant, Jenny Agutter, and Christine Elise did a very good job. Don Mancini and David Kirschner did not want child's play franchise to end due to making it long term and the same formula of Chucky not reaching his goal.

If you like cheesy horror such as bride and seed, okay then! But child's play two is a masterpiece like the original, and cult of Chucky is also my favourite - I saw it at Frightfest in London back in August

Verdugo85 I agree with you. At last I am not the only one who thinks Jennifer Tilly ruins the franchise, she is beautiful, bubbly, and sexy woman, but her acting is atrocious and irritating.

My favourite is Chucky, and the sl*tty Tiffany doll can't be a equal to Chucky - she is a weakling

I like her shes good in her role.

To each their own.
She's the main reason I started watching the series again after it's hiatus. The more Tilly the better a.f.a.i.c..

reply

She's got gigantic titties. And that's no sh!t.

Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu....

reply

They are sh*t when they drag to the knees just like her stay

reply

Jennifer is the best that ever happened to the franchise. Hope she has lots of screentime in this new installment.

reply

No she doesn't get much screen time because Chucky, Andy and Nica are the heart and head cult of Chucky - thank goodness.

reply

I can't really say much right now because I'm lost. I can't begin to explain the ending of Curse of Chucky because it made no sense. I thought they just had them there for cameos, I didn't believe it was part of the movie. Now that they're saying it was part of the movie, then I have to say the series it's going back downhill.

reply

What's not to understand? It was rather clear: Tiffany is the one who mailed Chucky to Nica's house so he could kill the mother. She's human again because she obtained Jennifer Tilly's body in Seed (Jennifer played herself and Tiffany was obsessed with becoming her). Tiffany mails Chucky to Alice's grandmother's house so he could possess his soul inside Alice so he could go and kill Nica but that didn't work and six months later is mailed to Andy's house to kill him and Andy shoots him in the face. Not sure how he escaped from there though to be able to be coming after Nica this time around, but there you have it.

Don Mancini. Somebody needs to tell this guy. You have this great franchise that could make you rich. But he keeps throwing it away. For some dumb *beep* If he hadn't made Seed of Chucky, HE WOULDN'T BE IN THE POSITION HE'S IN NOW! Anyway, I get that Tiffany was mailing Chucky all over the world to finish what he started. What I don't get is why Chucky is shown doing the spell on Alice, who is dumb enough to allow him to complete the spell, only to find out that this scene was irrelevant because Tiffany just mails him back to Andy anyway. And the fact that Andy, who blatantly knows how to kill Chucky, fails at it this time. And why would Tiffany be helping Chucky! Her whole motivation in Seed was to be done with the doll *beep* Everything she's doing now tells me she want to be killed yet again.

He still has a great franchise. I don't mind how it is, it's the little continuity errors the series has that bothers me. Did you not enjoy Curse? This movie seems to be a winner. I am also in the minority of the people who liked Seed. And to answer something you wrote down below, I don't think the series will go back to the ridiculousness of Seed. That's why Curse was as dark as it was to bring the series back to it's horror roots. Cult looks like it's going to be another darkie given it's main setting in an asylum.
If he hadn't made Seed of Chucky, HE WOULDN'T BE IN THE POSITION HE'S IN NOW!

What position? He's still making films in the series and Curse did fantastic. Seed didn't really do any harm but I guess keep him from getting the next two movies released theatrically and I'm not sure how much of an influence that is, but he's able to continue the series just fine.

Tiffany apparently loves the hell out of Chucky, even when he irritates her and KILLS her (twice). It's nuts, Tiffany is NUTS which is why she's the perfect one to be Chucky's woman. Not to mention he's still the father to her two kids, so she'd probably want him to be around to see them.

reply

Jennifer Tilly needs to be extremely limited. I want a horror movie. That is why Curse was positively received. Return to form and little Tilly interaction.

reply

Well Tiffany can work in horror. Bride was a very dark movie with some humor here and there but nevertheless, dark for the most part. Things only got light with Seed because Don felt comedic Chucky was getting better appeal and plus he wanted to up the comedy.

Tiffany's role in Curse is not why it did so well. It did well because it was dark. Tiffany could have had a bigger role and the movie could still be dark and still been well received because it was on par in scare level with the first movie. You people seem to forget she originated in Bride and not Seed. You're too busy worrying about Seed that you feel if she has a big role in any following sequel, it's going to bring back the lightness and humor of Seed. Not the case.

This why we need Tiffany she get under Chucky skin and know how to push his buttons.

Lara Croft Himiko! The First Sun Queen! This is Yamatai.

reply

Exactly. Tiffany's the perfect one to do that. Next to her, there's Andy. He can push Chucky's buttons too.

reply

Andy is good pushing Chucky buttons but Tiffany is a pro at pushing Chucky buttons and I'm happy Andy returning to cult of Chucky
