Is this any woke?
I like the urban fantasy genre (reading a Daniel Faust one right now, indeed). This is obviously another example of "urban fantasy & private investigator", in the style of Dresden, Felix Castor, Daniel Faust or similar ones. It's a tad repetitive, but it's (or it can be) a nice guilty pleasure to indulge yourself with.
The question: is this any woke? That's the most frequent problem with modern western movies. There's rare exceptions, though. Kind of lighting in a bottle, to find a western movie which isn't woke nowadays, but there's always hope. Is that the case here?
