Terrible show
2 episodes in, still don't know what their goal is and what they are doing. This is typical example of big money budgeted (wasted) on bad writing.

shareYeah, you seem too intelligent to get that kind of show...
This is a typical example of an obnoxious and pretentious person wasting my time.
Not that you deserve this explanation after that title, but you have to piece it together throughout the season, along with the crew, and it connects and becomes clearer with every passing episode.

That's because people like "marineproductions1" is used to watch "2 and a half men" so he get's to know what's up in the first 10min...
but when you watch this briliant show your brain has to do a little work and he or she is not used to that ;-) haha
i agree with OP. its slow. had to force myself to sit through first few episodes and watch boring fest that it was until something gave signs of life. mainly i did that because of good reviews
its good that sci-fi should take its time before unfolding its content, i like mystery and its always good when show has one, but critical piece of mystery is that it must hook you, get you interested, without it you dont have motivation enough to dive deep in it to find out what was all about
if its not giving you any important details about the main plot, at least some drama between characters should be appealing to focus your attention on, while in the mean time main story catches up
interesting characters drive any story. its not a rocket science isnt it? everyone knows about it. it should make you care. care about characters to find out what is the story behind them, doesnt matter if its sci-fi or any other genre. after you care you appreciate the sci-fi part or adventure part or anything that follows. without that its just shallow. in first few episodes there was nothing and no one to care about. and its so slow that its even taking a year off until second season. come on enough is enough..
and whats with the bulling, everyone can say their opinion. either reply with arguments or move on yourselves. blocking button is not that far you know
^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^
Pretty much agree with everything lexob9 says in their post. Wife gave up on the series at 3rd episode, it just didn't appeal to her at all but hey what the hell does she know lol. I remember thinking the same thoughts when the first series of Babylon 5 was running. Poor acting wooden characters are often the case in many first seasons of some very popular shows. I'm glad I stuck with this series though and I'm hoping it can pull itself together and become something special, but my fear is that it has lost too many of the casual sci fi viewers needed to maintain good ratings for the future. Like it or not we now live in an age where instant gratification is the norm and attention spans are a lot less than in previous generations so a slow burning convoluted storyline in shows like this are not always going to be popular with the masses. I hope this show has the legs though.
Remember the Cant!
The stupid have one thing in common. They alter the facts to fit their views not the other way!
You don't have a clue, this is the best show Syfy has brought us since Battlestar Galactica. A true return to form appreciated greatly by any fan of classic science fiction stories.
"This is What You Want... This is What You Get"
Didn't they say that about your mom? But people still came to watch THAT show...
shareSTOP NOW! For the greater good!
Edit: Stargate SG-1 = 10? I rest my case;-)
