He is by far my favorite character on the show, though they're all pretty awesome. He's such a simpleton, but also loyal and 100% badass. It cracks me up whenever he does something insane, usually ending in someone's death, the entire crew stares at him dumbfounded, and he's like "What? I kill people, it's my thing. Just go with it."
shareEven better in the book. He's a top notch machinist as well as a stone cold killer. The characters motivations are also a lot more three dimensional.
shareI loved his interaction with Dr. Prax. When the UN starts the rumor that he abused his daughter, and Amos is trying to get him to admit it by saying its OK (which he doesn't of course). Prax asks him if he would really have been ok with it if Prax had abused his daughter. "Oh eff no, I would have thrown you out the airlock". Love it.
