never heard of this until tonight...

Is it worth finding to start from the beginning? Or is it too stupid to bother with?

Both. Depending on you. But start from the beginning. If anything the Pilot episode (Alive in Tucson) is an incredible piece of television. If you find Will Forte funny you will probably like the series. The middle of season 1 might start to turn you off but if you can power through it gets even better.

Accurate assessment. This show always does great season premieres and season enders, but the middle episodes can be kind of blah. At least you can binge S1/S2 now to get to get good parts. It could be trying at times watching the episodes weekly in real time.

There was a fair bit of promotion for the first season back when it came out. But now they pretty much rely on people tuning into Fox on Sundays. ABSOLUTELY start from the beginning. The first season is the best IMO. It IS stupid though. The whole humor of this show is stupidity so if that's not your thing you won't like it.
