Paul and Vernon: The team-up no one asked for.

What an odd episode. When Edgar gets the spotlight for the week I can dig it: Edgar's a cool guy, his character is the most well developed on the show, and he's an engaging actor to watch at work (sometimes I wonder if I'm still watching this just to see if Edgar's okay.)

But Paul and Vernon? I never spared them a thought, and I don't think I've ever seen a thread on here titled: "Let's see more of Paul/Vernon!"

Yet what an entertaining episode it turned out to be! Rough start, but by the end quite a few genuine laughs, and some considerable pathos generated as well. This show continues to surprise me.

Good episode, funny all around.

It's pretty weird to have the four primary characters in the song intro and then none of them appear in the episode. Other than that I thought it was terrible. Aren't there sought shows without the main characters from this show? Like all the other shows?

I thought it was the weakest episode of the series. I didn't mind Edgar's bottle episode, but this one was just dull from start to finish.

I think so, too. Vernon is one of my favorite characters, dumb and obnoxious while at the same time he seems to be (along with Edgar) the nicest guy of them. But this one... I guess they want to show how these two man-babies deal on their own. But from the moment the car crashed down, it was all annoying as hell. This can be singled out as the worst episode of this series.

Vernan has turned into one of the funniest characters on television, with the Charles Boyles of the world

I enjoyed this one too. Had someone pitched it to me sight unseen, I'd have been very doubtful, but those two worked well together!

"I know this ain't gonna sound good, but I just shot two people."
