Destined to be failed...

I was excited to see Dr. Ken when it was announced to be premiered this Fall. But then I saw the trailer and after that I had "Oh no they didn't..." moment in a very negative way. I could feel already that this show isn't going to do well.

However, the pilot didn't give me a bad impression not as worse from the trailer-it was actually funny, but now I can really confirm that the production has planned to fail the show in the very beginning because seriously nothing's new with this show.

They should at least set up Ken's family to a little be different family such as having a hot white wife-there's a lot of humor in this already-instead of having a typical same old Asian family. Isn't Fresh off the boat already doing that? The style of the comedy is also quiet old. It's not as modern as the one in Fresh off the boat. I felt like I was watching reruns of cougar town. Dr. Ken could have been a show that potentially run at least couple seasons but I don't think that has planned it out from the start. Hope this doesn't ruin Ken Jeong's career.
