Dr. Canceled
4 eps.
Yep.
shareHopefully not even that many.
shareI don't know how it even got past the pilot stage.
shareWhen I got through it I thought to myself "7 episodes". I hope your guess is closer

The laugh track killed it, ever other line or at least every third line, literally.
I have 2 sets of twin boys, Pete & Repete and Mark & Remarkable
This show is ok. Very cheesy, but sometimes funny.
Wish Cristella was still of. Me and my wife both loved that show. Still sad that I can't watch it anymore.

THE ONLY CRITIC WHO CAN REVIEW WHILE JOGGING:

This show is a perfect example of political correctness run amok. They checked off most of the "proper" boxes, having a Black, a Hispanic, an Asian, and lastly a LGBT character. I almost forgot the "white guy" character that everybody else hates. The lefties in Hollyweird must have loved this premise. The only box not checked off in the pilot was quickly covered in the second episode with the replacement nurse. Along the way they forgot to make it funny. I watched the first two episodes with hardly a laugh. The family dinner was the best part. Most of the hospital characters could be replaced with cardboard cutouts and an erasable balloon quote, as they're merely there to fill Hollyweird's goals and setup Dr. Ken's lame jokes. It's a complete waste of talent there. I weep for Tisha and Dave. They deserve better than this.
shareThis show is a perfect example of political correctness run amokThat makes no sense. In what way? A real urban area hospital would have all of those races/ethnicities represented. share
I worked at a large metro area hospital not long ago, a top one in the nation, in one of the top 15 largest cities in the US, and it had representatives of about every socio-economic class, educational class, sexual orientation/gender (including transgenders and bisexuals) ethnicity/race/country of origin, religion (or lack of one especially among doctors and other highly educated professionals), rural/urban background and "type" (character) of person. A very eclectic and pluralistic mix (since it was a top US hospital chain, it attracted talent from around the nation, not to mention the world, from researchers to doctors to administrators to students to profs).
If anything, this show is too narrow (I realize they can't have the show revolve around like 20 characters of course).
Unfortunately it's just poor writing, poor acting and poor storylines that leave this series troubled... not the "PC brigade"... That tells me more about your own psyche than the problems with this show.
Ken Jeong is clearly talented, his turns in Community and The Hangover bear that one out... but this horrendous "Dr Ken" series has proven to be half-baked at best.
Show has been picked up for a full season.

This show is a perfect example of political correctness run amok
I am sick and tied of people (especially white people) throwing up the term "political correctness" every time they see a diverse show. FYI, people of colo like myself watch a lot of TV too, and we like to watch shows that have people who look like us for a change. This is the 21st century---people of color have been very much a part of this country since the beginning, and these shows reflect real life as it is now. So it had nothing to do with "political correctness" and everything o do with the fact that TV is getting more directors, writers, and producers of color who make these shows that show current life in these here United States.
And since practically every show on TV is about white families or groups, I don't know what the hell you're complaining about. 99% of the show on TV are about white people. You see shows with people that look like yourself all the time, so why the hell can't we? And there is clearly a demand for programs like this, as evidenced by the success of Dr. Ken, Black-ish, Fresh Off The Boat, The Carmichaels (all of which have been renewed,BTW) and the success of practically every show writer/producer Shonda Rimes has made pretty much proves this (Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, How To Get Away With Murder, Scandal.)
So all your whining and complaining about "political correctness" and "Hollweird lefties" is just a bunch of tired damn nonsense form right-wingers who can't sand the fact that TV is no longer revolving around just white people anymore. Living in a multicultural area is real life for some people--just because it's not your experience dosen't make it not real. There are plenty of other shows in which you can watch the same old boring type of sitcoms about white people that are always everywhere on TV.
How is this steaming pile of crap show actually doing well in the ratings?! The IMDB board is already dead because everyone has given up on this generic unfunny show, but somehow the ratings are holding up.
