Is it purposely supposed to be like this.

Central character is a kid.

Central character enters the subconscious (aka the further.)

Even the title's lettering is the same.

Hero uses technology to go inside kid's head & give him therapy. That's 1984's Dreamscape, with Dennis Quaid. So it's a melding of the two movies.

Yeah. There's also, like, characters in the movie, just like Insidious! And there's also a script, just like Insidious!!! It's basically the exact same movie.

They even used that exact red lettering followed by shrill music lol

It shares many of those exact same similarities with Home Alone.

The plot and some characters are similars to the spanish book "La biblia de los caidos" with some changes.
