Louis CKs acting?

What did you think of it?

reply

He is usually very good. Some of his lines in this movie sounded like they were being read from cue cards. It sounded like 1980's Degrassi.
Other parts, I think he blended nicely into the movie.

reply

He was ok.

If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already

reply

Huge fan of CK as a standup, but the guy is the worst actor. He fits perfectly playing himself in Louie, and that's about it.

One of the best comedians of all time, though.

reply

For someone with lung cancer, he sure lasted long enough...

reply

Adequate, at best. Nothing against him, but any credible actor would've been far more effective in that role.

You want something corny? You got it!

reply

he was really bad. really really awkward and not believable.

reply

I liked him in the movie. Didn't have a problem at all with his acting...

But I was distracted by the thought I was watching Louie C.K. Hehehe.

reply

Funny thing.....I cannot stand his standup act, but I thought he was great in this movie. I never had any idea he was capable of acting at this level.

Yeah I think that's a lot of it, he wasn't as distracting on a 2nd viewing as the first time I watched Trumbo but there's a real feeling that he's an actor, acting, rather than a natural character in the story.

reply

Totally miscast, he couldn't act if his life depended on it.
