It was a sequel no one asked for and truth be told, I haven't heard one person clamoring for a Happy Gilmore sequel AND without Bob Barker at that.. This will fail.. The humor in 2024 for Gen Z is greatly different than when this movie came out.. Moviegoers actually had a sense of humor back then, but in 2024?? Forget it.. π

shareOr The Blues Brothers 2000. A sequel that nobody should defend. I'm not even fan of the original 1980 one, which is one of the greatest comedies of all time, next to the original Dumb & Dumber. At least it's a hell of a lot better than it's awful 1998 sequel. Nobody was even asking for a Blues Brothers 2, especially since John Belushi had already been dead for 16 years, by the time the sequel was eventually released.
