When they first get home - Gripes

I just want to say I love the movie and Jack is adorable. But of course I have gripes that I can't help but mention.

They just got home and:

The father comes in pissed off as hell. Can't he be thrilled she is alive for a few days and then worry about the jerk? OR at least hide his anger from them? I get the kid represents her getting raped but still.

The mom already wants to cut Jack's hair?? Who cares?

And how old were these parents when she was taken? Was he 50 when she was born?

These people need to get their priorities straight. She could've been dead from day one.

I was more ecstatic when my cat came home after being trapped in my neighbor's garage for 10 days (which they kept refusing to let us look in and told us to, "Get a new cat"). Having no food and water I don't even know how he was alive and I didn't even question it. My anger dissipated once I got him back. Of course I still hated them but he was only a pet. Not a daughter.

Lastly, Jack and the stairs. Being he had a TV I find the focus on the stairs difficulty was a bit much. I am sure he was climbing around in Room like a monkey.
