Why does Dakota keep taking these parts

She keeps making the same half hart-ted movie over and over. Does she owe someone some type of debit or something. It's just sad, shes so much better than this.

Because she cares about her acting career, not which muti-billionaire makes or loses a couple of lousy million or (silly) hundreds of million dollars like most people on IMDB.

She's what most people (before IMDb) called an artist.

Before the accountants took over.

Oskars problem with Eli is not her ambiguous gender, but her ambiguous humanity.

I thought she did a perfect job of portraying a young, newly-married pregnant woman during what should be some of the happiest times of her life - but still dealing with depression over the horrible death of her parents - Gere's character, in trying to deal with his depression by reinventing the past bought her childhood home, which only added to her depression . . .

There wasn't a LOT of extrapolating going on on,this movie - but everything that was going on, to me was portrayed very well.

I felt like the story revolves more around Franny and Luke and they forgot about Poodles.
Dakota had only a handful of lines.
