Alison Brie / Lainey vomiting scene unnecessary?
Makes female "lead" look pretty weak.
shareWhat? Her entire story is about her weakness. It was like the central park scene but with some physical symptoms, maybe explained by alcohol. But wtf world are you living in where female leads need to be some idealic image in your head? Are you from the 1950's?
shareI actually thought she seemed mature for 1) being polite to his wife rather than catty (because the wife didn't do anything wrong) 2) appearing poised as long as she could and then removing herself from a professional setting important to her date as to not embarrass him and 3) shutting down her ex after the cold, bullying way he rubbed her nose in the life he chose over her. For a character with anxiety, a little puking would feel like progress compared to uncontrollable panic attacks where you can feel like you're dying.
shareagreed. it made sense. i just wish she had bolted before a-hole saw that it all made her upset. he doesnt deserve the satisfaction... grrr. im glad in he police station later he hears them both declaring genuine love for one another in an exciting way. ultimate revenge.
