I found it surprisingly good

Oh, don't get me wrong, it's no Godfather, but for a rom-com, it was definitely better than average. It starts with the two leads, who I both like. Well, more than that - I think Sudeikis is underrated, and who doesn't want to pound Brie for a solid week straight? They had great chemistry and there was good acting from both of them as well.

Plus, although of course they're gonna get together at the end, there were plenty of fun twists and turns along the way. Very enjoyable.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I loved it. And it seemed for a minute like they weren't gonna end up together, because they don't always. But I was happy they did. And I love sudeikis and Brie, and I really liked not liking Adam Scott for the first time since, maybe stepbrothers.
Super fun little flick, I'm a fan.

I loved it too. And Sdam Scott, its hard not to like him but he did a really good job of making me no like him.

What is it with everybody and this Adam Scott guy?? You'd think he was bigger than Tom Cruise the way his name is mentioned all over the board. I've never even heard of him till I looked him up on here. I guess I must've missed it when he became this huge national superstar.

reply

Is he a superstar... no... but I guess you haven't watched Parks and Recreation... he is pretty well known...

I rarely like rom-coms but this was one of the best I've seen. There was a lot of stuff here I could relate to and it was pretty funny too. Sudeikis is always great and Jason Mantzoukas is the man! I love that guy, no matter how small the part he always makes me laugh.

Didn't quite work for me - not quite sure why but I think the leads did not really spark off each other (and was Jason Sudeikis a bit old?) plus it all felt a little flat.

There was originality in the writing - that was the best part.

Sudeikis is always good. I love Allison Brie from Mad Men, but didn't quite buy her in this. I'm sure she worked very hard, but I just couldn't see her as this hedonist that the story needed her to be. Not everybody is born to play every part I guess.

Really disliked the Xander character. Seemed like the actor's choice was "let's play him stupid and annoying". Why?

7/10
