It's hard to see pornstache playing any other role..lol..oitnb ruined his swag. This movie seems good so far. I have a tendency of starting a review once I have decided to continue watching to the finish. Crossing my fingers that I can eventually grasp pornstache's character in this one.
You must obviously not have seen him on Law & Order: SVU as William Lewis his character was in a series of 8 episodes as a psychotic killer going up against Olivia Benson and kidnapping her a few times.

As someone who has watched Pablo Schreiber give outstanding performances in OITNB, Law and Order:SVU, The Wire, Light's Out, among other things, I pity anyone who is only seeing him for the first time in this film. (If you haven't already I would highly suggest checking out Pablo's own IMDb page and just check out some of the other roles he's done, he's in a league of his own for sure.)
I feel that the script, his character and overall storyline for this film is a complete insult to his phenomenal acting skills. The man has been nominated for a Tony for sobbing out loud! I think he gave 100% as usual but they gave him so little to work with for this particular role it really seems like any attempt he made just ended up falling short. Pablo is well-known for taking up projects because of the integrity of the project itself and not necessarily taking on roles simply because he's in it for the money (which I respect). But with that being said I'm really trying to figure out what he was thinking when he agreed to this. In fact the only reason I originally decided to watch this film was because I knew Pablo was going to be in it. Sadly I think this movie is far below his own abilities.
As for the movie 'Preservation', I got the feeling that it was kind of put together in a hurry, and maybe that's why it was so short. So much about what happened on screen didn't add up. The plot was rushed, character development was definitely rushed, and I lost track of how many cheesy, typical horror film one-liners were said. From the middle of the movie until the very end I felt like they were just trying to convince the audience that their was a true method behind the madness and that everything was coming together.
Imagine someone insisting that they're going to custom make you a fantastic vehicle out of nothing but sticks, pieces of cardboard, glue, spit and hope. In short, I don't think this film was worth the effort that it took to make it, I'd give it a D+.

sportyspice, i agree, Pablo is a fantastic actor (not to mention he's VERY VERY sexy/hot). i was bummed/irked that his character was killed off first since he/his character was really the only likable one in the movie.
