the "victims" annoyed me greatly!

first, someone already mentioned it, pornstache, er, the brother in law, when he had the upper hand on one of the killers in the ... I'm not up on my hunting terminology but that "treehouse" (i know its not a treehouse) he turned his back on the dude, COME ON. but at least he took the gun like i wanted him to do.. when eric, i think his name was. thehusband.. somehow climbs out the top of the port potty without the killer noticing and gets the upper hand on him for a sec he doest take the gun from the guy! winds up getting shot like a dumbass. and then lastly, when the woman faces off against the first of the killers she killed she didn't take the gun that was laying there.. i kept yelling at the characters throughout this movie to the point where i got fed up and just said, "screw it, kill 'em." sometimes i want to protagonists to get killed for being so stupid in the situation.

I wanted the 'victims' to get killed even before I saw how stupid they all are. That's my animal lover side speaking here, but they went hunting, so they deserved to be hunted down and killed. As addition, they were all so unlikeable. They were all either *beep* (the husband at the beginning), shady (the brother) or simply annoying without anything specific characteristics (mainly the girl, but they all could be in this category).

But going back to your points... Yes, the stupidity was beyond annoying. I can understand turning around from the killer for a second or two, to grab a gun etc, but not for any longer than that. Especially the female character, after she knocked down one of the guys, she took AGES to turn around. That was beyond stupid. You NEVER turn you back to the bad guy.

Whoa, a bit harsh maybe? Other than that, I agree with you. The movie was completely ruined for me by all those 'turning around at the worst moment possible' parts.

Probably, but I just cannot stand hunting in general.

Agree totally. In the first 5 minutes, I wanted all 3 of them to die. Talking about a video of a cat being abused and laughing, a song about killing a bear, etc. I HATED these people. Does that Ken Cosgrove actor always play a dick?
