Yea, sure, people can be brainwashed but to this level?
What do you think? Put aside that its a movie, lets say that its reality... Do you think that he couldn't be brought back to some level of humanity? Sure, he was traumatized, but he is still a human capable of complex thinking and reasoning. He sure remembers what cooked meal tasted like for example... And as we see at the end, he is capable of crying...
I agree. I just finished watching, and I really loved it, but it requires a definite suspension of belief!

Its a joke people... The brainwashed thing is all part of the joke.
I realize without knowing the back story of the movie and how it came to be it loses something but if you head the podcast and how damn random it all was and how the movie just came to be it gives you an entirely different perspective on it
