I'm quite incredulous as to how anyone can find the walrus suit disturbing.
I thought it looked ridiculous.
I thought the atmosphere and foreboding built up prior to the reveal of the suit WAS disturbing and creepy and really well done.
But upon seeing the suit, it took me out of it. I thought it looked absurd.
Perhaps that was the point as it degenerated into farce at that point.

I totally agree. Just finished watching Tusk and my first thought was to re-watch Red State for a happier movie in my head.
My shoes are too tight and I have forgotten how to dance.
Dude, you're not lying. I had to skip the replies bc I'm only halfway through it. My husband told me some ppl from work said it was "bad". Mkay, my interpretation of that meant it's a bad movie. As in, it's not good. I had no idea it was going to be so thoroughly effed up! Like I'm scared to watch the rest. I'm scared. 'Hold me' is right. Ffs. I don't think I've seen anything more twisted since Hannibal. omg. And I'm not into torture porn, but I paid to watch it, so I'm finishing, but Jesus, learn some self control when writing something so awful!

IT was pretty disturbing but funny. I've seen much more disturbing and freaky movies.

That's sort of like when I saw The Thing prequel and the scene where Eric Christian Olsen's character gets face raped. That scene gave me nightmares for a while.

shareNobody (I think) goes into a Kevin Smith flick expecting "Citizen Kane." Just leave your brain at the door & invite the inevitable. He did NOT disappoint with this flick. A bally-wick of talent that obviously had a great time filming. Not my usual cuppa...but, hey! Disturbing fun!
