So underrated it is painful.

One of the most disturbing, brilliant and funny films in years. I had no idea what to expect when I decided to watch it (because it contained Johnny Depp) and was blown away.

One of the best horror comedies ever made and the rating on this site is a f*ing disgrace. Hopefully it will at least become a cult classic.

I saw it three times last year and will definetly watch it again this year.

It's an ok movie.
It has an interesting central idea.
Depp's performance is silly.

Lol I love this movie. Soon as it hit red box i rented.
Never took it back lol

Was definitely underrated and I agree the rating it got on imdb was sad. I watch it all the time and can't get enough.

As someone who has repeat viewed and hopefully been paying attention, can i ask an opinion?. I enjoyed all of it so there's no criticism in this question. Does Guy Lapointe sound like a stoned version of Heath Ledger's Joker with a french accent? The rhythm of his sentences, emphasis etc.

Dum Spiro Spero

Should get a 3...at best. What a joke of a "horror" movie. That is not horror, its ridiculous and not worth watching..pathetic.

I don't think it's underrated. It seems to have a decent following. What hurt this movie is that it's not 100% original. Human Centipede did it first. But either way, this movie is better made than Human Centipede, imo.

Why can't you be a non-conformist like everyone else?

reply

It's way better than Human Centipede. Tusk and Human Centipede sit on the opposite sides of the spectrum for me.

For one, Tusk is not mean-spirited. It's snugly paced, atmospheric and intimate.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I got some good laughs out of it and the horror was pretty horrific. What more could I want from it?

Plus, Depp was hilarious.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

I just heard about this film. I want to see how disturbing it is.

reply

I think it's intent is to poke fun at movies that are made just to be disturbing.
