What the hell is with the ending

The ending of this movie is appalling! It had such terrible fx that it was laughable. The plot was easily picked out and I could see it coming but it wasn't a satisfactory ending for me at all.

K.

I thought the ending and its violence and gore were a sharp contrast and made it overwhile a decent movie.

reply

i gotta agree the ending was a mess. every time somebody died they stood completely still and then blew up or something.

reply

It looked to me like they stood still because the witch forced them too and then killed them in some gory way. Up until that point they were all running around with axes and screaming.

reply

Right. They needed to stand still so they could overlay the cheesy after effects!

So many horror movies fall apart at the end. This one did it on purpose, and it was hilarious.

reply

You seem to not notice that this is a comedic horror. Whether or not you found this film funny, that's all on you; however, there are a lot of people complaining solely on the fact that they though the film was not horror. Well, it isn't a strictly horror film, hence why there are some *beep* randomass stuff thrown in there. That's the point.

I think there's a huge difference between people not realizing it's a comedy and the last twenty minutes being a poorly animated CG cartoon. I loved this flick, I thought the humor was subtle and the menace built nicely and at the end as things started to unravel, it was witty and had some decent gore. Then for some reason *beep* just went stupid, with some of the worst CG I've ever seen. If they'd kept it practical and stayed crazy, I would have LOVED it. Instead it's something I'll probably never watch again.

The ending was awesome.

reply

Yeah, I thought it was pretty hilarious in a "wtf??" sort of way. The frog attack was friggin priceless.

Back off! ... Way off!

reply

ha ha... I was like "What the hell is going on here?!" when the chaos ensued. It just got balls-out weird!

I thought that, based on the cooking scene, that the ending was the project of the wanna-be-director. But no... they played it out like it actually happened.

Was the movie a complete waste of time? No. Was it good? Not really.

reply

Loved the film until the over the top, stupid, "we're so cool we thought of this" ending. Silly bollocks.

reply

Yeah, I definitely liked the movie until the last 15-20 minutes, of which I skipped the last 10 until the very end which was also just terrible in so many ways.. Pity. I think they could've kept with the horror/comedy without blowing it all to hell if they thought about it a little more.

reply

Oh, I think the ending was the best thing about the whole movie. FX was dodgy, yes, but I've seen my fair share of sh!tty cgi. It takes worse to impress me.

reply

Agree. The film was actually rather entertaining until the end, and I could have even tolerated the cheap effects if they had just made a modicum of sense.
