Cancellation is curious cuz it makes no sense
If I were a media reporter, I'd nose around this story a bit more. Why? Because I find it hard to believe that a poorly marketed 8-episode miniseries is deep-sixed after 2 episodes because of poor ratings and replaced with an equally low-rated show, Shark Tank.
Where is the logic in that?
Okay, it had 2 million viewers at least. So sell the miniseries on Amazon or iTunes. What's $20 x 2 million. I'm sure you'd make your money back on production costs.
This somewhat reminds me of a very popular Canadian series that was deep-sized after 2 seasons--and that series was critically acclaimed--Intelligence, which was about the Canadian govt spy network and how it worked closely with criminals to get intelligence. Netflix used to stream it. Hands down, it was the best series about intelligence that I've ever seen. But the second season involved a plot line about the American govt doing some shady things with water rights and encroaching on Canada's borders....Some think the good old USA didn't like the show and may have persuaded Canada to pull the plug.
Jes sayin.
