Oh you beat me to the announcement! I'm so pleased to have learned about this! So the show was off to kind of a slow start...but the action was just beginning to rise when it got pulled! Even though Paul Rhys was a complete dweeb in this, he was soooo dramatic! I'm looking forward to watching how he reacts to the CIA realizing he is an evil rogue traitor spy.

Just as I figured...they did the ssme with Zero Hour. I checked listings every week and saw it was slated for 6/21.

And it's about time! The show is a quality presentation, and I was quite disappointed that it did not find an audience. ABC could have properly promoted the show so people know about it. I'm looking forward to seeing the remaining episodes.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to present the episodes from the beginning again, so the show could find its audience?

Probably so. It's gonna be harder to build in new viewers, especially with truly zero promo this time, even people who watched the first time, will probably end up missing this first new week at least (as you can see I just noticed it in time, by pure chance, within hours). If they started from scatch, then they'd just miss the stuff they saw at least (and, after so, long, many who did catch it in time would've re-watched anyway).

But whatever at this point, so long as we get to see it.

You beat me to it, just noticed it on the programming guide (by pure lucky chance, unfortunately I bet many who watched will end up missing this week's episode at least, but maybe will get word by next week hopefully)!
Nice. I was pretty upset that ABC couldn't even see to commit to finishing a mini-series, but so long as they don't pull it again!, it's all cool now.

Yeah, there was zero promo on this, and I only got it by accident because my DVR, originally programmed to record the series, found it! Wish they had started again from the beginning, though . . . . even though I watched the first two, I would have watched them again to catch up. Great show, totally mishandled by ABC!

"Forget it, Jake - - it's Chinatown!"

That's exactly how I found out, as well, Vikkiwest! My DVR magically grabbed it.

Was checking recordings and there it was! So glad to see it there.

Though, I'd only watched all of ep 1 originally, and bailed after learning before watching ep 2 that it was cancelled. Didn't want to invest, haha. Just decided to read the book later to get the full story.

So it was a bit of a faffing around to find eps 1 and 2 again (but did find them) to lay the groundwork for watching ep 3. I'd long ago erased them from the DVR. (Lesson learned, haha).

It was even better than I remembered. A real step by step on drawing the net tighter and tighter.

Those interview scenes with Vitaly and Ames were some of the best tv I've seen in a long while!

Ames reaction when Mr. Robert is mentioned........all of those extended scenes were magnificent. The misdirection, the close call. Ames breaking down and trying to hide it.

Amazing stuff.

The quality has been kept up - in fact, the last two episodes were outstanding, with Checkmate my favourite one so far. I am anxious to see all the episodes for myself. But, for the wider viewing audience it would be nice to see this great miniseries given the promotion and proper time slot it deserves so it gets another chance to be recognized. Here is quality television that is languishing! How about a sale to one of the cable networks so they can do a better job of marketing?

+1

especially with how things have heated up again with Russia they might have an even easier sell (not that it should require this)
