how can this be 2nd in "The Most Original Film Since 2000"?
it's not even original, it's like a super long version of the Smack My Bitch Up music video from the 90s

shareI'm just surprised that we havent seen any movies like this already. Is this really the first feature length movie that was shot in first person perspective like this? I can't think of anything that wasnt also found footage.
shareThere's an old film noir from the 30s or 40s called 'lady in the lake' that was first person the whole movie. It flopped so the idea was dropped until recently. I didn't think lady/lake was a terrible movie, but it does get convoluted in the end.
shareThen you obviously don’t watch porn, “King”Cobra.
shareProdigy probably loved this film like I am.
shareSo it's not original simply because YOU think "it's like" a music video?
Other than the POV and the fact they were probably both filmed in UK, what else do they have in common?
I would say shooting a whole movie with gopro is very original and just a nice little flick they have for themselves there
shareBogart's Dark Passage from 1947 used the POV technique for the first half hour or so, I think it beats anything listed here, its a great film noir btw!
Heres a clip, he's just escaped from prison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLdP36wZyRU
Yeah, but Smack My Bitch Up was better!
However, one could argue that SMBU of 1997 was inspired by DOOM of 1993.
So what was rated the most original?
