The planet needs humans who care about it instead of profits. A change of mindset/priorities. And overpopulation at our current level is a myth, it's a matter of bad resource management (billions of tons of food wasted each year, products designed to break down and/or become outdated quickly, a huge percentage of buildings constructed with flammable materials, millions or possibly billions of new cars coming out each year, the list goes on). We can also implement more technology to produce a higher level of abundance. Part of the mindset change would need to include how we see having children, all born children being wanted and not mistakes, knowing that if we have too many children we will strain resources, etc. Some people know they don't want kids, but accidentally get in that situation and are often pressured by society to go ahead and have them. Solution for those cases = free sterilization by choice before pregnancy occurs, no matter the age of the person. So it's not about killing off existing populations, but making informed decisions going forward.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Why I feel space exploration and colonization is the only way to save humanity. To avoid a mass culling as they put it. Either or has to happen for Humanity to survive without killing us and the planet in the process.

Is Covid-19 doing it? Or maybe whatever's in the vaccinations? Or a combination of both?
