Something I never understood

Remember when Stacey complained to Mike that there were gunshots every night and she felt unsafe, and he camped out across the street from her house all night and didn't hear any shots, then she called him and said there were gun shots again and he went there and she showed him the bullet mark on the wall of her house...

what was that all about?

it was never explained, but am I to assume she made that mark to persuade Mike to help her move to another place?

What would be the point of that? No speculation, please. Give me real answers.

my problem is we are left to speculate. it's up to us to figure it out.

It's weird. That seemed to be a case of laziness on the writer's part. It was brought up in the show out of nowhere, then dropped with no explanation just as quickly.

reply

Yes it was a scheme to convince Mike to help her move.

reply

I thought so. But it was poorly communicated.

reply

Not if you got it.

reply

You didnt get something that wasnt there. You imagined it. An 'errant inference' as it were.

reply

Coming as it did just after Mike confessed to her about being a dirty cop, it seems she used that to get him to help finacially with buying the new house. IIRC, it seems he did pay for at least part of the new house himself.

Still don't know why exactly she wouldn't have just directly asked Mike for the finacial help since he would do anything for her & his granddaughter, no questions asked.

Who likes having to beg for money?

reply

Correct me if I'm wrong but is Mike still feuding with the Salamanca's at this point? Maybe it was them as a warning.

reply

But she said she heard shots and claimed there was a new bullet hole when he was there the entire night. So we're left to believe that she was either scared/paranoid or some people in this thread think she was purposely trying to manipulate him into helping her move. I don't think there was any evidence in the series to make me think it was the latter, but either way we know that it wasn't really happening.

reply

It was Walt and Chuck hiding in the bushes and taking shots at Stacey’s house.
Walt did it because of his pride and ego and Chuck did it because Jimmy passed the bar.
