So is Lalo superhuman?
I’m starting to think he is.
shareYes. Yes he is. The big ‘S’ on his chest stands for… ‘Salamanca’.

I hate using the term but I am already calling him Mary-Sue Lalo, because at this point he's no different than Rey in the Star Wars sequels. He is invulnerable, all powerful, and all knowing and NOTHING will stop him except the plot armor that is every character that is alive and well in Breaking Bad.
shareI might hold off on the Mary Sue label because the show does not want us to root for Lalo, but yes he definitely should not have been able to do the things he’s done.
share
He certainly seemed like a Mary Sue when he single handedly killed the five assassins sent to kill him. That was totally Unbelievable!
🤨
Sheesh. Now everytime I rewatch Breaking Bad I'm going to look for that sewer grate in the street, to see if it matches up with Lalo's perfect angle of the shop in BCS.
shareI can't recall anything he's done that has been unusual. He survived the assassination attempt, but that wasn't any particularly amazing feat. He got the drop on his attackers, and knew the layout of his home, especially his escape tunnel, and used it to his advantage. He relies on his charm and portrays himself in almost a Columbo-like manner at times to catch people off guard. What has he done that makes you think as you do?
shareFor a dead guy he seems to have unlimited resources to fly in an out of countries on a fake passport with the help of nobody.
shareHe transcends borders with the use of his magical mustache.

I like how he got the drop on the guy who winded him and maybe broke his ribs and all it took was a business card with a pre concealed razor blade. Talk about forward planning, it’s like he knew what was going to happen. SuperLal.
shareWell it's established he already had one fake identity set up, it's not much of a leap to think he had others established as well. As far as unlimited resources, the cartel has endless money and even though him being alive is largely a secret, those he trusts know he's alive and could set him up with whatever he needs.
shareDoes that seem unbelievable? One assumes he had a fake identity and passport on hand, and has been using it to move around. He certainly had some kind of emergency plan, and since he was attacked at home, it was probably right there in a safe. Does it seem like a stretch that he would have a few IDs and passports on hand, along with at least a few hundred thousand dollars, if not more?
shareI don't buy it. But that's ok, I stopped suspending my disbelief for this show a long time ago, otherwise I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.
shareClearly.
He looks like Federer with a moustache for that very reason, he has superpowers.
He is ruining the show for me.
Lalo is a borderline rat which I don’t like but he did kill Howard which I do like.
shareHoward getting shot, Lalo's magic powers, Nacho's cheap and lazily written phoned in death, Saul and Kim going crazy....this 6th season is DOGSHIT.
Its only motive is to get to BB beginning.
Everything else is not important.
Particularly HOW we get there.
